DR. JOAN NIX
Joan Nix is an Associate Professor of Economics at Queens College of CUNY. Dr. Nix is also the Director of the Quantitative Economics Major at Queens College.
Joan Nix received her Ph.D in Economics from NYU. She is also a proud Phi Beta Kappa graduate of QC. Her research interests span behavioral economics, corporate culture as behavioral risk management, regulatory capture, net neutrality, the economics of crypto assets, common ownership, and wavelet methodology. She received the President’s award for teaching excellence based largely on letters of nomination from former students. She continues to enjoy contact with current and
and former students. It is with gratitude that she hears from former students who have achieved distinguished careers in business.
